Your rights & choices

The data we hold about you

You have options and choices over how we use your personal data, and you have a right to find out what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.

This is called a Data Subject Access Request.

You can make a request via our support site here.

Alternatively, you can contact SEGA Europe's DPO directly at dpo@sega.co.uk or SEGA America’s DPO at dataprivacy@segaamerica.com.

What data will i receive?

Once you have submitted your request on our support site, you will receive a confirmation email to verify your identity. This is to make sure that we only provide your data to the right person: you!

After verifying your identity, we will send you all the personal data that we hold about you. This may include data that you provided to us when you signed up for newsletters as well as any of your game data and account details.

We will then respond to your request with the personal data we hold about you within 30 days from your request.

For California residents

Our Data Subject Access Request will provide you with all the information we hold about you as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. More information on your California Privacy Rights and how we handle your data is available via our Privacy Policy (link above). For any questions, please contact our DPO.

Other data protection rights

You also have other data protection rights.  These include:

  • The right to rectification - this means you have the right to ask for inaccurate personal data to be corrected or to have it completed if it is incomplete.

  • The right to erasure - this means you have the right to have personal data deleted.  You may know it by its other name, 'the right to be forgotten'.

  • The right to object - in some circumstances you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.  For example, you may want us to stop using your personal data for marketing purposes.

  • The right to restrict processing - in some circumstances you might have the right to request that we restrict the use of your personal data, for example if you are questioning the accuracy of the personal data, we hold about you.

We trust that we'll be able to help you exercise your rights when you reach out to us if you have any questions.

Remember, if you aren't happy, you do have the right to refer the matter to your data protection supervisory authority.
